Scotch Plains Fanwood Soccer Club (SPFSC) offers two Select Programs (i.e., programs for which tryouts are required) for Boys and Girls ages U9 through U18. SPFSC Travel is our standard Select Program and the Enhanced Player Pathway Program (“EP3”) is our more advanced academy-style Select Program.

The SPFSC Select Program Philosophy is a possession-based, attacking style with a focus on:

• A holistic approach to development - not winning at the expense of learning
• A base of individual technical ability 
• Players will play all positions (including the #1)
• An emphasis on the 4 pillars of player development (Technical, Tactical, Physical, Psychosocial
• Over/under capacity training/game opportunities
• Coaches constantly evaluating their players and providing notes improvement
